The Pack-a-Punch machine is an exciting addition to the Zombies mode in Black Ops Cold War. The Gallo SA12, for example, becomes even more deadly with increased damage and a larger magazine size.
Shotguns, in particular, benefit greatly from the Pack-a-Punch upgrade. Players can choose to Pack-a-Punch any weapon they have, but some weapons are better suited to the upgrade than others. Once a weapon is upgraded through the Pack-a-Punch machine, it gains increased damage, increased ammo capacity, and often additional special abilities.
The Pack-a-Punch machine itself is located on each map and can be accessed once the player has accumulated enough points. The Bronze Chalice provides the tier 1 Pack-a-Punch upgrade, while the Silver and Gold Chalices provide the tier 2 and tier 3 upgrades, respectively. There are three different grades of Weapon Chalices: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
The Weapon Chalice is a rare drop that provides the player’s crrently equipped weapon with a Pack-a-Punch upgrade. The mode also introduces new elite enemies that drop powerful loot, including the Weapon Chalice. The mode offers a unique twist on the classic Zombies formula, with a constantly shrinking safe zone that forces players to stay on the move. In the Zombies Onslaught mode, players must battle waves of the undead on multiplayer maps.
